Short description of your activitiesIryna works in Caritas since 2011, however for the last 3 years she is engaged in piloting a new teaching methodology SOLE. The methodology, created by professor Sugata Mitra, is very simple but at the same time very effective, it is a great response to the present day life issues which is often called VUCA (volatility – uncertainty – complexity - ambiguity). Iryna practises SOLE methodology with children of different ages and with different social backgrounds. The main aim of the methodology is to create a learning environment where children can meet with all possible difficulties under supervision of a facilitator, and learn to be resilient, creative, sociable and develop critical thinking. Iryna has practised SOLE sessions since 2017 at a daily centre for children in difficult living circumstances in Caritas. Since 2019 she also works as a SOLE trainer for teachers and other interested people. Due to the efforts of a SOLE team in Ukraine the methodology is recommended by our Ukrainian Ministry of Education for the use at schools as out of class activity. The general aim for Iryna is to prove that the methodology can be used as an alternative form to a traditional lesson system.
